Mangueshi Temple is devoted to Lord Mangueshi which an incarnation of Lord Shiva. Shri Mangueshi temple location is Mangeshi village in Ponda Taluka. Real old temple was situated at Kushasthali Cortalim village but temple was destroyed by Portuguese in 1543. This was shifted to Mangesh Linga village from Kushasthali Cortalim village (real location) in 1560. Present temple was constructed by Shri Ramchandra Malhar Sukhtankar between 1739 -163.
